A computer game that I spent many, many, many hours of my childhood playing.
It was the game that inspired Doom, which is the game that inspired EVERY FIRST PERSON SHOOTER EVER EVER EVER.
It was originally released as open source freeware, then released as a for-sale package, and now, in 2012; 20 years later.... it's free again.
