Existentialist Star Wars

Words of philosopher Jean-Paul Sartre.

Sorry French peeps or people who understand French, this won't be funny to you as this is actually the original dialogue being said.

Banana Boat

Is it because I'm Australian that I can only think of is sunscreen when I watch this? Regardless... pretty awesome.

The Apple Episode - South Park mini review

It does email, and web browsing, and it s**ts in Kyle's mouth?!"

Season 15 - Episode 1 - HUMANCENTiPAD

Not the strongest Season Opener but definitely worth the watch with South Park's stab at Apple.

HIGH POINT - The joke on people not reading terms and conditions before agreeing to it.

LOW POINT -  Trying to gel the story into a spin on the infamous 'Human Centipede (First Sequence)' just didn't really work.

Thursday, April 28, 2011

So, everyone else who posts on this blog has found out I have recently taken over the reigns of "sad ass XBOX gamer", a title which was most recently held by another fellow blogger, Tim.

This weekend (technically Monday for us in Australia) will see the release of the new Call of Duty: Black Ops DLC Map Pack. I personally am very excited because I've played that game so hard, I'm almost sick of the same shit, so just in time to fuel my fire.

Also, don't forget, the following weekend after this DLC, comes another Double XP weekend, so for all of you pounding away at getting that 15th prestige, make the most of it. I know I will be.

P.S. I heard a rumor the double XP weekend will also feature a game mode called "Firing Range 24/7", for all of those people out there who are sick of only playing it 95% of the time.

Above was a promo for the upcoming DLC, below is a promo for the previous DLC.

So this is a little fan made trailer for a Tron film set in the real world by the looks of it. Some nice effects and a bad guy from the original Tron film.

Man Gets Prince William and Kate's Faces Tattooed on His TEETH

”I love the Royal Family and this was my way of lending my support to their Big Day. says Franks

The subject matter of this doco interests me immensely.

It's just for fun.

This guy is amazing.
Things i love about this video.
1) arnie-esque voice.
2) Mega slingshot.
3) 93 shots per minute...... if you can load a slingshot 93 times in a minute, well good for you.

Happy Easter CNTS

Retro-Tinged Bliss Pop

Minnesota's preeminent purveyor of retro-tinged bliss pop, John Maus, has dropped a video for "Believer," the closing track from his forthcoming full-lengthWe Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves. The heavenly, vastly expansive tune is matched by a similarly dense layering of abstract and psychedelic images to stunning effect. And for those seeking more Maus-related video, we've dug up an XLR8R TV episode from the 2008 vaults, which features the weirdo-pop craftsman waxing philosophical on his music, lyrics, and the like.

Luke's Jacket complete with Medal from the Throne Room scene in Star Wars is now available here

See the below clip to see/remember just how effing rad this jacket is.
P.S. Why doesn't Chewie get a medal?

Malick Magic.

From Terrence Malick, the acclaimed director of such classic films as "Badlands", "Days of Heaven" and "The Thin Red Line", "The Tree of Life" is the impressionistic story of a Midwestern family in the 1950's. The film follows the life journey of the eldest son, Jack, through the innocence of childhood to his disillusioned adult years as he tries to reconcile a complicated relationship with his father (Brad Pitt). Jack (played as an adult by Sean Penn) finds himself a lost soul in the modern world, seeking answers to the origins and meaning of life while questioning the existence of faith. Through Malick's signature imagery, we see how both brute nature and spiritual grace shape not only our lives as individuals and families, but all life.

Wierd Al

So new Weird Al album coming out soon, here is the first track on his new album.
Taken from Lady GaGa's "Born This Way".

I like it, I think thats because it's a not so subtle stab at how pretentious and over the top Lady GaGa is.

This is Perform This Way.

We can rebuild him. Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.

So this is the second installment of the new live action Mortal Kombat series.

So far the series has followed the story of Sonya, Kano and Jax. They seem to be doing a Creation Myth style storyline, where we are going to learn how each of the attendants in the 'Mortal Kombat' gain entry to the competition.

a particularly sweet fight in this episode, one of the first i've seen in a live action Mortal Kombat video that actually looks like a fight out of one of the games. Good for Black Dynamite and his amazing fighting skills being put into use.

Watch, share and Enjoy.

Why so serious?

So we have had a lot of relatively serious posts lately, heres something i found that i thought was shit. I've decided to share it with you. I'm no longer going to count sheep as i go to sleep at night, I'm now counting Nyans.

La Casa Muda

Also known as "The Silent House" is the latest Spanish horror film that actually looks really effing scary. All in one continuous shot... i think i may piss myself. "Real horror in real time".

My favourite Beard is making a new film. No not Lucas Spielberg or Coppolla but Dupieux. Quentin Dupieux AKA beatboner god Mr. Oizo is in the middle of shooting his next film Wrong (1 week down 3 to go). As we did with Rubber we'll be following the production of this project with baited breath.

? and Quentin

"this first week of shoot already killed RUBBER. my new movie is about madness and beauty. it's already incredible. can't wait to screen it !"

Quentin via Twitter.

Storywise we know that it revolves around a man and his missing dog.

Steve Little (Eastbound & Down)

(Wrong Production still)

William Fitchner (Black Hawk Down, Crash)

Jack Plotnick (Rubber & Meet the Fockers)

(Wrong Productions Still)

As we find out more about the cast we'll let you know. We're getting from all these photos that Quentin will be leaving the desert and heading back to a more Suburban setting like his previous film Steak.

Until our next time please enjoy these still from Quentin himself. Have a go at guessing at what your looking at on some of them.

Click pictures to Embiggen.

um. wow.

It was nice knowing you COD.

If i were a Bee, A Queen Bee.

Learning about Bees!

So there is a whole series of these about different animals. I can't work out if this is supposed to be a learning video for children or isabella rosselinis personal porn collection, they all focus on how each animal has 'the sex'. Often in horrible ways resulting in the death or mutilation of the male animal.
What the fuck, Nature.

and an interview with the mind behind this bizarre look at animal sex.

Brings a tear to my eye.

How have i never heard about this before?
Why does this video not tell me how to buy one of these?

This is probably the greatest thing invented, ever.

Old news again. Sorry.

I Love Sarah Jane.

I don't know if anyone saw this, but a few years ago, this short film was in Sundance and got 'well good' reviews. It is currently in the process of being adapted into a feature film. Done by australian writer/director Spencer Susser. worth about 14 minutes of your time.

And if you are interested in this director, he has gone on to do a film called 'Hesher' with Joseph gordon-levitt.

Get over here!

So Black Dynamite is still kicking ass. Michael Jai White is now one of the leads in a new Mortal Kombat Live action web series. check it out.

i dont know what to make of this. i guess i'll give it a few episodes and see how they go. could be good, could be awful.

Attack of the Block

This has been getting rave reviews. Go see this when it eventually comes out peeps.

"It's genuinely scary and thrilling, and the cast, made up mostly of unknowns, at first seem like those kids lost between the cracks, but once they decide to fight, you cheer them on, especially John Boyega as Moses, the leader of the kids. The monsters, refreshingly, aren't CGI and are scary as hell, reminiscent of ALIEN and CRITTERS, all glowing teeth and inky black fur. It's a fucking amazing debut for Cornish, who with this first film should have a very long career as a director. If this isn't picked up for American distribution before the end of the fest, I'd be very surprised. ATTACK THE BLOCK would fit right in with any giant summer release and pound for pound I'd bet it delivers more thrills than any of them"
Nordling - AICN

This is what you get.

So i guess this may be a tale of morality?

i guess the idea is, don't piss off your friendly neighbourhood Hobo, especially if he has a shotgun.

Get to the choppa!

So this is a nifty piece of software, also a little scary, if we can do this now, how far ahead is The 'Predators' technology?! we are so fucked.
