IT'S A HOAX!

I used to live on Brisbane's south side, in the suburb of Hawthorne.
It's a great suburb, close to the city, trendy, right on the river & the people are friendly.
A mate of mine, Alex, received this letter in his mail box this morning -
inviting fellow neighbours to a gay-hating political party this monday night.

It has not been well received by neighbours and has taken off like wild fire on social media sites.

It also prompted this response from Alex.

EDIT:

A peaceful counter protest has been organised for Monday night at Hardcastle Park (Hawthorne Ferry Terminal) which will most likely migrate to the offending street. 

Attending numbers yet to be finalised, likely to have a strong show of support.
