Another Dead Rockstar
@rockstargames @teambondi #LANoire
An earlier post I wrote on the Castle revealed mega game giant THQ were shutting the doors on their Brisbane office in Australia. A few days ago, the gaming industry took another massive hit.
Team Bondi, also known as Rockstar Bondi, responsible for developing one of the biggest games of the year, L.A. Noire, officially went into administration on the 31st of August 2011.
3 months ago, former employees of Team Bondi created the website, www.lanoirecredits.com to properly list all the credits including over 100 employees that were shunned from the list due to the termination of their contracts. The lack of credits had opened up a brawl between the game development company and the IDGA. It has also been recognised that many employees have made formal complaints about the working conditions of the studio, siting 12-hour work days and "lengthy crunch times" (Whatever that means).
The remaining intellectual property has been sold to George Miller's studio, Kennedy-Miller Mitchell.
